WHAT TO EXPECT
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our worship songs are led by talented musicians and singers at each of our services. Our praise team leads us in worship songs that you might hear on Christian radio as well as traditional songs of faith. Each Sunday, our praise team at main campus and at the lake service lead us in worship that is upbeat, encouraging and good for the soul!
All of the preaching/teaching is Bible based and offers encouragement for your Christian walk. Our Senior Minister, David Simpson, brings over 45 years of experience to the pulpit each week. Our Associate Minister for the Lake Service, John Simpson brings over 15 years of preaching experience. In addition, with more than 35 years of ministry experience, Associate Mike Thompson preaches on occasion at both services.
We observe the Lord's Supper each Sunday in our worship. We believe that Jesus invites all believers to remember His sacrifice for our sins each Sunday when we come together to worship Him. The communion time is open to all Christians and is not limited to members only. Pick up a communion kit as you enter for worship, and partake after the communion meditation. An usher will collect empty cups.
Our children meet each Sunday at 10:00 in the Children's Room on our main campus for a Bible lesson and activities. If you attend Lake Service but would like your children to attend class, they may ride the bus to main campus at 10am, and will be returned by the end of service.
At 11:00 our children participate In the first part of worship, then dismiss for their special learning time. Our gratitude to all the volunteers who teach our children and spend quality time with them each week!
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in one God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit (John 14:16-20)
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only son, our one and only Savior (John 4:9,10 / John 3:16)
We believe that Jesus was born both fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary; that he lived and taught truths as the son of God; that he was crucified for our sins, died on the cross and rose again bodily from the dead on the third day; that he will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead. (Acts 2:22-41 and many other New Testament passages)
We believe in the Holy Spirit who dwells within every Christian. (I Corinthians 3:16)
We believe in the Bible as God's inspired Word. All of our beliefs are found in the Bible and all of our teaching and preaching is based on the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:15, 16)
We believe that all have willfully sinned and fallen short of God's standard, but that there is forgiveness and hope in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
We believe the Bible teaches that salvation – the forgiveness of sins – is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe the Bible teaches that salvation comes by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ and being baptized into Christ. (Romans 5:1-2 / Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9 / Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:11; 1 John 4:15 / Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21)
