WHAT TO EXPECT

Come as you are

We want you to come just as you are. When you walk through our doors you will see most people dressed casually, and at our lake service you will find people wearing shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops.  We want to make sure when you visit you are comfortable and that is all that matters to us.  When you come to worship, we want you to feel loved and welcomed.

Music

Our worship songs are led by talented musicians and singers at each of our services. At our main campus, the worship services are identical. Our praise team leads us in worship songs that you might hear on Christian radio as well as traditional songs of faith. Each Sunday, our praise team at the church service and at the lake service lead us in worship that is upbeat, encouraging and good for the soul!

Communion

We observe the Lord's Supper each Sunday in our worship. We believe that Jesus invites all believers to remember His sacrifice for our sins each Sunday when we come together to worship Him. The communion time is open to all Christians and is not limited to members only.

Preaching

All of the preaching/teaching is Bible based and offers encouragement for your Christian walk.  Our Senior Minister, David Simpson, brings over 40 years of experience to the pulpit each week.  Our Associate Minister for the Lake Service, John Simpson brings over 15 years of preaching experience.  In addition, Mac Hill preaches on occasion at the Lakeside Worship and Main Campus by serving as one of our lay ministers.

OUR MISSION

We exist to be an ANCHOR that offers people

the security of faith, hope, and love that is found in Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

God

We believe in one God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit (John 14:16-20)

Jesus

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only son, our one and only Savior (J John 4:9,10 / John 3:16)

We believe that Jesus was born both fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary; that he lived and taught truths as the son of God; that he was crucified for our sins, died on the cross and rose again bodily from the dead on the third day; that he will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead. (Acts 2:22-41 and many other New Testament passages)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who dwells within every Christian. (I Corinthians 3:16)

The Bible

We believe in the Bible as God's inspired Word. All of our beliefs are found in the Bible and all of our teaching and preaching is based on the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:15, 16)

Salavation

We believe that all have willfully sinned and fallen short of God's standard, but that there is forgiveness and hope in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)

We believe the Bible teaches that salvation – the forgiveness of sins – is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe the Bible teaches that salvation comes by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ and being baptized into Christ. (Romans 5:1-2 / Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9 / Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:11; 1 John 4:15 / Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21)

We believe that church membership is extended to anyone who is a member of Christ's Church, having established trust in Jesus for forgiveness from their sins, as follows:

-By acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

-By repentance

-By baptism (immersion – a complete covering under the water) (Acts 2:36-41; 16:29-34)
